Recent Restorations at Snoqualmie

This wood car was built using photos of Fairmont cars as a guide. The wheels came from an old homebuilt push car that was in very bad shape. Though construction was straight forward, much notching was required for a solid frame. The wheel bearings have oiling holes on top, so holes were drilled through the frame and tubes inserted to facilitate adding oil when needed.

This view shows the simplicity of construction. Only 6 pieces of wood make up the frame.

Simplicity continues, with a pipe handhold and a flat steel draw bar. on each end.
